Pour in the melted butter and mix until smooth.

Step 4: Add the flour and milk:
Gradually sift the flour while continuing to mix.

Slowly add the lukewarm milk, whisking gently to avoid lumps and obtain a smooth mixture.

Step 5: Beat the egg whites:
Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until they form stiff peaks.

This step is essential to obtain a soft sponge layer.
